Margaret Bright

Margaret Bright, 93, of Etowah, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023.

She taught Sunday school at Mars Hill Methodist Church several years ago. She loved to sing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Bright; siblings, Oscar Smalling, Rosa Bivens, Ralph Smalling and Ray Smalling; anddaughter, Linda Pease.

She is survived by her siblings, Ronald Smalling, Roy Smalling, Gladys Matoy, Sue Kirkland, Lowell Smalling and Bulah Faye Spurling; children, Donald Bright, Alice Evans and Roger Bright; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah with Pastor Tim Womac officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday prior to the service.

Interment will follow the service in Mars Hill Cemetery.
