Paul Hawkins, 70, of Cleveland, departed this life on Thursday morning, Jan. 20, 2022, at his residence.
Born on Jan. 30, 1951, to the late Columbus Boyd and Nettie Belle Hawkins, he was a native and lifelong resident of Bradley County. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was retired from Whirlpool.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Luther Hawkins; and his sisters: Betty Killian, Wanda McNabb and Francis Cross.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters: Gina Neely (Rodney) and Missy Richesin (Chris); grandchildren: Ginger Ellis (Blake) and Jordan Neely; brother, J.W. Hawkins; sisters: Susie Dorlon, Brenda Clayton and Barbara Clayton; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life and Homegoing for Paul Eugene Hawkins will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home, with Pastor Matthew Harris officiating.
Interment will follow in Centerpoint Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rodney Neely, Chris Richesin, Chucky Torbett, Blake Ellis, Jayden Castelow, and Jason Neely serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
