Raymond E. Driggers, 54, of Trinity, Alabama, died on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022.
He was born on June 20, 1968, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Charles Ernest and Carmen Luz Galvan Sahagun Holstein. Raymond was employed by Mazda Toyota and started his career in auto manufacturing at Volkswagen of Chattanooga. He had a love and passion for VW bug cars and was an avid Florida Gator fan, “Go Gators.” Life was an adventure for him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his birth parents; adopted father, Bill Driggers; and brother, Carlos Holstein.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Amelia Driggers; daughter, Clair Driggers; son, Zach Driggers (Amy); mother, Wanda Driggers; sister, Carmen Hester (David); grandchildren, Nora Driggers and Rae Driggers; niece, Victoria Roulier (Phil); and a host of family and friends.
Celebration of Life services will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur, Alabama, and at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Cleveland.
In lieu of flowers, you may plant a tree in memory of Raymond or make a donation in his honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
