Richard "Rick" Lebron Owens

Richard “Rick” Lebron Owens passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021, in Daytona Beach, Fla.

He was born at McDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla., on June 6, 1955. He graduated from Bradley Central High School in 1972.

He went to trade school in Chattanooga through Plumbers Local 43. He owned and operated Rick’s Plumbing Service which he started and built in 1984. He then turned it into the family business it is today with his sons.

He left behind his parents, James and Bobbie Dunn; two brothers: Bruce (Butch) Owens and wife, Kim, Gary Dunn and wife, Connie; four sons: Jason Owens and wife, Tina, Josh Owens and wife, Barbara, Nicholas Owens and wife, Themelina, and Cody Owens. Rick also leaves behind his girlfriend, Connie Hall.

Rick was blessed with 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and many great friends and work relationships that he cherished.

His family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Rick’s Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 17, 2021, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Huff will be officiating, and his family from Rick’s Plumbing Service will serve as pallbearers.
