Robert ‘Bob’ Dean Brogden

Robert “Bob” Dean Brogden, 64, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, in a local healthcare facility, surrounded by his family.

He was a devoted husband and loved cooking (especially grilling), riding four-wheelers, camping and gardening. He was employed over the years as a truck driver, and most recently spotted trailers for Mohawk Industries in Chatsworth, Georgia, before recently retiring.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Myrtie Brogden; a brother, Johnny L. Brogden, and his wife of 33 years, Tanda Davis Brogden.

He is survived by his nephew, Tim Brogden (Laura); great-nephew, Kyle Brogden; great-niece, Megan Brogden; nieces Kristy Kelley (Jeff) and Sheila Withrow; and great-nephews Nathaniel and Chandler Kelley, Andrew Howard and Lucius Withrow; and his wife of one year, Annette Tinker Brogden.

A graveside service will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, in Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Josh Taylor officiating. Tim Brogden, Kyle Brogden, Mickey Brown, Josh Taylor, Mark Liner and Earl Brown will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
