Ruth Ann Davis

Ruth Ann Davis, 77, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022.

Ruth was born on Dec. 19, 1945, in Athens, to the late George Esley and Thelma Eloise Howard. Ruth was a dedicated member of Brittsville Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Michael Miller; siblings, Betty Howard, Bobbie Sue Foster and George “Sonny” Howard; and her granddaughter, Savannah Martin.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, John “Ray” Davis; children, Ellen (Robert) Deakins, Jammy (Amy) Miller, Mike (Wendy) Davis, Debbie (Rex) Vines and Sandi (Darrell) Martin; her sisters, Mary Hembree and Judy Dixon; grandchildren, Robert Martin, Candice (Chris) Pruitt, Matthew Martin, Josh Davis, Cody Vines, Abigail (Tanner) Kincaid, Dakota Bridwell, Zachary Bridwell and Kathy Bridwell; her great-grandchildren, Charlie Martin, Brylie Martin, Candler Pruitt and Cambrie Pruitt; and a host of extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, at Calhoun Community Cemetery with Pastor Mike Exline officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her name.
