Ruth Ann (Shamblin) Swallows

Ruth Ann (Shamblin) Swallows, 74, of Old Fort, gained her heavenly wings on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023.

Her radiant smile and loving personality will be remembered by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reece (Betty) Shamblin and  Bernice (Jr.) Wade; sister, Betty Jo (Shamblin) Swallows; and son, Thomas Swallows.

Left to cherish her memories, are her loving husband of 58 years, Edward Swallows; children, Ricky (Paulette) Swallows, JoAnn (Don) Whitehead and Nathan (Kelsey) Swallows. She was a cherished grandmother to Erick (Brittany) Swallows, Eddie (Laura) Swallows, Andrew Whitehead, Laura (Matt) Sharp, Gage, Bella and Ellie Swallows, Dustin (Julie) Mason, Nick Talley, Cameron (Ashley) Swallows, Amber Swallows and Desiree Swallows; great-grandchildren, Brianna Swallows, Jacey Talley, Miles and Grayson Sharp, Ezra and Silas Swallows, Crew Mason, Omry Swallows, and Dillon and Scarlette Swallows. She also is survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

Ruth Ann’s family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at Welcome Valley Baptist Church in Benton, with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 3 p.m.

She will be laid to rest following her service at Samples Memorial Baptist Church. Ruth Ann’s family will serve as pallbearers.
