Simon Ware, 99, died on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Hospice of Chattanooga.
Simon was a great father. He was generous and concerned about everyone’s well-being. He loved cleaning cars and owned his clean-up shop and a café. He worked with and for J.T. Haun and had a small landscaping business with Sam Cannon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Ware and Alice Johnson; sister, Notha Ware; brothers, Will Ware and Walter Ware, Ray Ware and Lee Ware; and sons, Milton Hall, David Ware and Lorenzo Pugh.
He is survived by his children, daughters, Ruth Cox and Wendelyn Hall; sons, Nathanial (Ivy) Ware, Ivan (Sherry) Hall, Maurice (Patsy) Pugh, Vincent (Nicole) Hall, Robert Ware, Anthony Hall and Malcolm (Brenda) Hall; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The body may be viewed from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the Patton Funeral Home Chapel, 265 Fair St., in Cleveland.
The family will receive friends from noon to the 1 p.m. service time on Friday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 799 Inman St., the Rev. Edward S. Robinson Sr., Pastor, and the Rev. Martha Tibbs, Eulogist.
Interment to follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
