A still described today by Deputy Sheriff Arthel Davis as “probably the largest ever captured in Bradley County,” was found on White Oak Mountain and destroyed by the local deputy and W.H. May. The capacity of the five-stills-in-one, in operation when abandoned, was estimated to be 4,000 gallons: one of the five alone was said to hold a good 1,000 gallons.
