William Michael Ogle, Sr.


The Rev. William Michael Ogle, Sr., 73, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021, at his home surrounded by family.

Mike is survived by his wife, Joyce Ogle.

He worked at TVA before attending Lee College where he graduated with a pastoral degree. In his 44 years of ministry, he served many churches. He was an ordained pastor in the Church of God and Holston Conference of United Methodist Churches  in Tennessee.

Mike served in the National Guard. Family was very important to him, and he loved them dearly. He was a big UT Vols fan and enjoyed NASCAR.

Mike is also survived by his sons: Mike Ogle (Angie), Tim Ogle (Kristy), and Jamey Sheridan; daughters: Kelley DiCesare (Jim), and LaDonna Pesek; sisters: Nancy Patterson and Susan Patton (Poncho); one niece; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Ogle; first wife, Judy Ogle; brothers: Robert and David Ogle; sister, Ruth Ogle; brother-in-law, Wit Patterson; son-in-law, Nathan Garner; and great-granddaughter, Maisie Jane Spencer.

Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, from 12 to 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church on North Ocoee Street in Cleveland, with a Celebration of Life following at 2 p.m. Pastors Steve Brown, Steve Parker and Mickey Rainwater will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to Holston Home United Methodist Home for Children.
