William Thomas “Buck” Emerson Jr.

William Thomas “Buck” Emerson Jr., 83, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, in a local health care facility.

He was the son of the late William Thomas and Delta Hamby Emerson. He  also was  preceded in death by his sisters: Eula Mae Dowker, Betty Pelfrey, Dorothy Grisham and Laura Wilson; and brother: Charles Edward Emerson.

He had been a resident of Life Bridges for more than 33 years.

He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Eugene Emerson (Linda); sisters: Lelah Joyce Elrod, Pansy Jane McIntosh and Pat Flanary (Jim); along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, Wildwood Avenue Chapel, with the Rev. Jen Newell officiating.

Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with K.C. Emerson, Rodney Emerson, Kenney Emerson, Stan Bethune, Mike Stewart and Sean Green serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearer will be Ted Bryson.

The family will receive friends Thursday, from 1 until 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
