Zachary Heath Johnson, 43, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2021.
He was born on Nov. 19, 1977, to the late Gary Wayne Johnson and Donna E. Johnson.
Zach was a lifelong resident of this area. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles. Above all he loved his friends and family and was a great friend to many.
In addition to his mother and father, Zach was preceded in death by his grandparents: Wilma and Gene Johnson and Doug and Wylene Jacobs and John Goda; and aunts and uncles: Jo and Mote Sliger, Tad Melton, and Sonny Johnson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sister, Nichole Geren (Eric) and their children: Jessie (Ethan) Whaley and Emma Grace Geren; girlfriend, Cassie Brown; aunts and uncles: Boyd Melton, Darla McFather, Doug (Bridget) Jacobs; cousins: Mike and Terry Johnson and their children: Chris and Josh, Ricky and Betsy Johnson and their children: Bailey and Nathaniel Steve Melton and Jeff Melton; grandmother, Patsy Goda. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends including his best friends and “blood brothers:” Scooter Creasman, Stoney Cross and Kenny Brancefield.
A Celebration of Zach’s Life will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday June 26, 2021, at Stanfield Baptist Church, with Pastor Eric Geren officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the service at 4 p.m. He will be laid to rest following the service at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
